Context

Neurones IT distributes a Kubernetes-as-a-Service solution on the Outscale marketplace. I designed it within the multi-cloud Containerization & Orchestration squad I led.

Challenge

Fit a serious Kubernetes cluster — high availability, backups, secrets management — into a package installable from a marketplace, reproducibly and without manual intervention.

Solution

  1. Reproducible machine image builds with Packer.

  2. Automated cluster deployment with Terraform.

  3. Highly available topology and etcd backup.

  4. Secrets management with Vault.

  5. Packaging and publication of the solution on the Outscale marketplace.
